About Hangman
Hangman is a hint-assisted word guessing game with twenty built-in words. Every round chooses one word and exposes only underscores plus a short clue.
There are six wrong stages. Each new incorrect letter adds one part of the hangman drawing; repeated letters are ignored rather than penalized twice.
How to Play Hangman
1Read the hint below the hidden word.
2Tap an A–Z key or type a letter on the keyboard.
3Correct letters reveal every matching position in the word; incorrect unique letters add one wrong stage.
4Solve every letter before the wrong counter reaches six.
Hangman Rules
- A maximum of six unique wrong letters is allowed.
- Repeated guesses are ignored.
- Winning adds one to the session Wins counter; reaching six wrong guesses adds one Loss.
- New Word starts another round without clearing the current session win/loss totals.

Hangman Game Mechanics
Objective
Guess the hidden English word from its hint before six incorrect letters complete the hangman drawing.
Round End
A round ends when every letter in the word has been guessed or the wrong counter reaches six.
- The built-in pool contains twenty words, each paired with a hint such as Programming language, Space vehicle or String instrument.
- Repeated guesses of the same letter are ignored and do not add another wrong stage.
- The drawing adds head, body, two arms and two legs across six wrong guesses.
- Wins and losses persist only while the current page stays open; a reload resets both counters.
Tips & Strategies
- Use the hint before choosing letters; it often narrows the word to a clear category.
- Try high-frequency vowels and consonants early when the clue is broad.
- Track already used keys—the interface dims them, and repeating one cannot reveal new information.
