About Sudoku Lite
Sudoku Lite deliberately uses a smaller format than standard Sudoku. The grid is 6×6, sub-boxes are 2×3, and the only digits are 1 through 6.
Each new puzzle begins from a valid base solution, randomly remaps the six digits, then removes sixteen cells. That leaves roughly twenty given clues.
How to Play Sudoku Lite
1Tap an empty non-given cell to select it.
2Choose a number from 1 through 6 below the grid, or use the clear button to erase an entry.
3Use row, column and 2×3 box constraints to determine each missing value.
4Finish when every cell matches the solution.
Sudoku Lite Rules
- The grid is 6×6, not 9×9.
- Each row, column and 2×3 box must contain 1–6 without duplicates.
- Wrong entries increase the Errors counter but can be corrected later.
- The timer stops on a fully correct solution.

Sudoku Lite Game Mechanics
Objective
Fill a 6×6 Sudoku so every row, column and 2×3 box contains digits 1 through 6 exactly once.
Round End
The timer stops when every cell exactly matches the generated solution.
- This is Sudoku Lite: a 6×6 board using digits 1–6, not a standard 9×9 Sudoku.
- Each new puzzle starts from a fixed valid 6×6 pattern with the digits randomly permuted, then removes 16 cells.
- Entering a wrong number leaves that number visible with an error style and increments the Errors counter; you can overwrite it later.
- Time and Errors are kept only for the current puzzle; no best result is persisted.
Tips & Strategies
- Start with rows or columns that already contain many given digits.
- Because digits are only 1–6, list the missing values mentally for each 2×3 box before choosing a cell.
- An error does not lock the board, so correct red entries instead of restarting the whole puzzle.
